[He fires off a bunch of medical questions; first aid, mostly. Tells her subtly that she's wrong by offering suggestions. But then he inhales a little and then gets to the meat of why he's calling at all.]
I would like to discuss your dimension's version of Gotham, sometime. When are you available?
[Does this count as making the moves on Jaime's mom? NO.]
[He might be trying tell her she's wrong, but Bianca won't give up that easily; she takes his suggestions and turns them back with how they actually do things in the ER, and the various updated techniques since he was in school. After all, it's understandable, since his focus is psychiatry, isn't it?
She pauses at his question about meeting. Jaime had said he's dangerous, and she believes him, but...]
My lunch hour isn't too busy right now. Does sometime in the next week work for you?
[Just choosing somewhere public and during the day shouldn't be too bad, right?]
Hi Bianca? It's Betty. Last minute, I know, but I'm in Heropa for the next few hours and I was wondering if you were free to grab a drink or something.
Hi, Betty. I actually do have some time. [She's finally come down from the frentic pace she's been keeping for the last few weeks. Even she can keep it up for only so long before she ends up burning out from exhaustion.] Is there anywhere you have in mind?
[Even through the phone, Bianca sounds how Betty feels. Unlike her, she has had a very restful few weeks. So restful she didn't even exist. The rest of the time was pretty packed, though, and she's well out of the loop.]
Have you been to Communities? It's more of a restaurant, but the internet gives them good reviews. We... we could get dinner if you don't already have plans with Alberto?
I haven't, but I know where it is. It seems to get a good crowd. [Her voice falters momentarily, though, because of the mention of Berto.] I- I don't have any plans, actually. My husband isn't here anymore.
The beginning of the month. I'll be fine, I have things to keep me busy. I can meet you there in [a brief pause as she checks the time] about half an hour?
[On Christmas Day, Bianca will be presented with a photo album filled with, well... pictures of them, their family, including his grandma and Bianca's sister.
The suit captures images, he'll explain. All I had to do was print them out and photocopy them before... you know.
She will also be receiving a replacement for a loved household item from home -- nothing too flashy or even expensive, like a mug, but he did try to find the closest match.]
[ BACKDATED NATURALLY BECAUSE I WAS A SICK FAILURE. Ideally when she's not around, Pablo will leave -- wrapped, though not meticulously -- a scarf at her door, not made entirely by hand but at least made into a scarf from something else, patterned with flower imprints stamped in with dye. The fringe is composed of small clay beads. ]
[ Perhaps it's a bit old-fashioned, but the message arrives for Bianca via mockingbird. Sealed closed by a wax mockingbird sigil, the letter is hand-written in careful cursive. ]
Dear, Ms. Reyes -
We have not spoken before, but my name is Petyr Baelish. I serve as the ambassador for Maurtia Falls. I write to you on behalf of a project I am working on within my city. Construction has already begun on rebuilding a much larger library, but I wish for this to be more than simply a bigger structure. I hope to inspire education and the spread of knowledge to the natives of Maurtia Falls as well as provide an invaluable resource to new arrivals here. But more than that, I wish to use it to pay homage to the natives who lost their lives within Maurtia Falls due to imPort related tragedies. Their names will be honored within the library itself and donations will be set up to be made to the families.
For this project to succeed, I need your help. If you are able to donate anything at all to the cause, it would be most appreciated -- whether that is books, money, or simply your time. I plan to put programs into place once the library is finished to have imPorts come in and read to the much younger generation. I believe it would be a great way to strengthen the native and imPort bond. And from what I've seen of you, you seem like an excellent role model for these children -- both imPort and native.
I thank you for your time, and I do hope to hear back from you soon.
Sincerely, Ambassador Petyr Baelish

Dr. Crane. Any reason why you're calling this early in the morning?
no subject
Well, you are a nurse, no? Naturally I wish to pick your brain about a few things.
no subject
Yes, I am. And those would be?
[She pulls herself out of bed, and heads to the kitchen before she wakes her husband because of shouting over the phone at Crane, or something.]

That would be ideal. Tuesday, 7pm?

That works too. Anywhere in mind?

There. If you would.
